Les Chemins de la Cloche

Project Type:

Boardgame Concept

Date:

2025

"Les Chemins de la Cloche" which translates to "The Paths to the Bell" (Bell being the translation of the name of the association) is a boardgame concept to help volunteers of the "La Cloche" association understand the association values and goals, as well as motivate them to act on what they've learned in their day-to-day lives. It being an association geared towards spreading awareness of the social impacts of homelessness, tackling this project with care and tact was primordial. Working for the first time with a team mostly composed of game artists was a fun challenge and growth opportunity for me to learn more about them and how our fields work together. As of the end of the ISART IMPACT Hackathon, our team has sent over all our documents to the La Cloche association and they are currently working on implementing our boardgame into their training. It was an incredibly fulfilling project, the whole team is very proud to have been able to properly answer the needs of this association and contribute to having a positive impact on people's lives.

Les Chemins de la Cloche: The To-Do List.

Goals that interest me:
- interact with people experiencing homelessness
- spread awareness about homelessness
- participate in charity and/or inclusive events near me

Day-to-day commitments:
- smile and say hello
- talk with people experiencing homelessness
- offer a coffee

Long-term commitments:
- join a charity association (Chapitre 2)
- organize an event to convince my school/workplace to spread awareness about homelessness
(in french) "Fresque de la Rue"
meaning "street mural" ('murals' are a common team building activities to learn about a certain topic)

As the only game designer on this project, my main role was on helping the team properly articulate our rules and revise them when needed to make them clear and quickly understandable for new players. I helped make sure we stayed on track with the time limit of our project, and limited our scope while ensuring our game fit La Cloche's needs to the best of our abilities. I kept a up our documentation and ensured that everyone had a task to work on to further our project.
